Integration of Google Analytics in the store

Google Analytics is a tool, that provides a detailed analysis about the visitors of the website and their behaviour. It supplies information about the number of visitors, their location, the chosen browsing device, links they’ve clicked on and more. To integrate this option in your website, you must make a “Google Analytics” account. To do so, we ought to visit marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/ Make a name for your account. Then select the windows at the bottom of the page and click “next”. Here you have to enter: - Your chosen name - Time zone - Currency Select the category of your store and specify the number of employees. Choose the information you want to summarize and click “create”. Here you have to indicate your region and agree to the terms of the service agreement for the selected region. Choose the platform from which the information will be collected. Enter the domain and the name of your website. Select “install manually”. Copy the given code and move on to your store admin panel. When the admin panel has been opened, we go to My Shop >> General settings >> Analytics. Paste the code in the “Google analytics code” field. Save the changes made and refresh the design cache.

Integration of Google Tags in the store

The main “Google Tag Manager” advantages are that it facilitates tag management and implementation, allowing you to make changes to the home page tags and code without affecting the site code itself. It also lets businesses add different analysis and marketing tools to their websites both quickly and easily, reducing required development time and facilitating collaboration between different marketing and analytics teams. To integrate “Google Tag Manager”, you must go to tagmanager.google.com/#/home and make an account. Creating an account: - Enter the name of an account - Country To create a container: - Enter the name of the website - Select the site where your website is located - Click “create” - You must agree to the “Tag Manager” terms of service. Copy the first code. Go to the admin panel of your store. My Store >> General Settings >> Analytics. Paste the code in the “Analytics code (header)” section. Then head back to the “Google Tag” window and copy the second code. This code has to pasted in the “Analytics code (header) after ”. Save the changes and refresh the design cache. You have the possibility to afterwards check the integration by entering the domain and clicking “Check”.

Integration of Facebook Pixel in the website

Facebook Pixel is a tool used for enhancing and measuring Facebook ad effectivity. It is a small piece of code, that is placed in the websites HTML code, and it lets Facebook follow user activity after visiting the website. Pixel collects information about user activity, for example, the pages visited, actions performed on the website and whether specific actions are done, for example, a purchase is made. To begin integrating this option, you must visit “Facebook Business Account” and make a business account for your store. https://business.facebook.com Enter: - The name of the store - Your name and surname - Business email Then proceed to the mentioned email, where further actions will be provided. After accepting the email, you will be taken to “Business Settings”. Click on the 3 dots and select “Events Manager”. Then you will have to choose a site from which the information will be collected. Choose “Facebook Pixel”. When creating “Facebook Pixel”, “name it and enter your store domain, then click “Continue”. Choose “install code manually”. Copy the code and go to the admin panel of your store. In the admin panel proceed to My Store >> General Settings >> Analytics. Paste the code in “Facebook Pixel code”. Save the changes and refresh the design cache.

Connecting to the FTP server

To connect to the FTP server, you will need a dedicated program. For Windows systems we recommend using Winscp, that can be safely downloaded from the official site –https://winscp.net/eng/download.php Program for MacBook users – Forklift When the program has been setup and opened, we can begin connecting to the FTP server. This tutorial will cover the Winscp program and the connection steps. To begin creating a connection, click on – New Session. An additional window will open, there we click on – New Site. Now we must fill it with access data, that has been provided to connect to the FTP server. In the File Protocol Isle, we select FTP and fill out data fields – Host name, Username and Password. When the data has been entered, we select the Login button. If the data has been entered correctly, the connection will be established, and the result should look like this: Now we can upload data to the FTP server. There are multiple ways to do it. We can use the left side of the window to open the file location and drag the right window, or we can simply drag files from the computer screen into the right window. We wait while the data is uploading. After that, file upload to the FTP server has been completed. So you do not have to enter access data every time it is necessary to connect to the FTP server, we can save them in the Winscp program. It, of course, is not recommended if the device is used by other people, who should not access the server, or the device doesn’t have a log in password. But if the device is only used my you and others do not have access to your files, then it can be safely done.

Tawk.to chat integration

To add chat support function to your store, you must make a Tawk.to account. Enter the necessary data: - Name - Email - Password When that has been done, go to the “Settings” section. From there head to “Channels”, where you must select “Chat Widget”. Here you can change the chats configuration. Widget Name – Title of the chat. Widget Status – Turn the chat on/off. Widget Appearance – Colour of the chat. Widget Content – Language of the chat. Scheduler – Select the time zone of the chat. Consent Form – Choose, whether you want to hide the chat from a specific region. Widget Behaviour – Here you can select more elements for the chat. Visibility Settings – Here you can select, when the chat will not be visible. On Click Behaviour – Choose, how the chat will open. Availability Restriction – Here you can configure the chat: what domains will have access to it, which countries and from which platforms. When you’ve achieved the desired configuration, copy this code. Then from the admin panel go to My Shop >> General Settings. In the General Settings section open the Analytics window and paste the code in the Online Chat field. Do not forget to save the changes and refresh the design cache!
